"Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' or 'Who will descend into the abyss?'" – Romans 10:6-7
Only God has the right to judge. If we judge others, we are claiming to be God.
Still, I never cease to be amazed by the outlandish judgmental people who profess to be followers of Christ. Of course, it's difficult to refrain from judging others. I'm guilty of it too.
I think some ways to be better at this is to have humility, and to trust in God that he will do the judging on our behalf, and that he will judge accurately. Our humanly limitations prevent us from having the full picture, which is required to judge correctly. Otherwise, we're just guessing.
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? – Romans 10:14-15
Lastly, it's important to preach and share the good news! If we have something so great, we would want others to have it as well.
Of course, we should be careful to not push others away from faith. We should take care to do so in a loving way, with patience and understanding. Be ready for whenever they are willing to hear. Otherwise, take care not to alienate others toward the faith.
Every weekend I write about some thoughts, life lessons, and interesting things I came by for the week. I'd love for you to join.
